New prints out now - 'Movies as Book Covers' September 11 2017

Continuing our series of 1960's style book covers, our latest prints are 300% covers inspired by some of our favourite movies 'Quadrophenia', 'Apocalypse Now', Psycho' and 'The Lord of the Rings' Trilogy.

Our favourite quote from the movie is the title and author is the character who said it.

Each artwork is slightly distressed and textured to look like a real book from the period.

New print out now - 'Classic Toys A to Z' September 13 2016

Only available until Christmas our new 'Classic Toys' print celebrates 41 of the greatest board games and toys from our childhood. Admittedly there is a bit of a 70's theme, which ages us here, but in our opinion these still count as the best.

From 'Airfix' to 'Zoids' and 'Subbuteo' to the 'Rubix Cube', how many did you have?

Illustrated and presented as a collectors set of trading cards on an A3 and A2 print this is part of our continuing series of Alphanumeric / Alphabet prints.

If you can't guess them all the answers are on the last card of the set.

There are two 'mystery' covers as we couldn't find a 'K' or a 'Y' we felt were worthy. All the answers are on the back cover if you can't guess them all.

New print - 'Phobias Book Covers A to Z' February 03 2016

Inspired by the design and aesthetic of 1960's Pelican book covers, our new print is a library of 34 extreme and irrational fears. The number covers count down the top 8 things people from around the world fear the most. Some of the books have authors and these are characters from movies that probably now suffer from the phobia illustrated.

Most of the phobias listed are pretty tricky to name so the answers are all on the last back cover.

New print launched today - 'Brutalism' May 21 2015

The fourth in our 'Blueprint' series celebrates some of our favourite Brutalist buildings and their architects. The term originates from Le Corbusier 'béton brut' meaning "raw concrete" used when describing one of his favourite choices of material. The term has been used to cover a movement in post-war British architecture and many governmental and institutional buildings around the world from the 60's and 70's that are fortress-like and modular with concrete as their predominant material.

Ernö Goldfinger's Trellick Tower in London and the  Weiss Science Tower in New York are a couple of our favourites and we selected our top ten and represented them here  in plan form as part of our continuing series.

New print launched today - "Boomboxes' April 28 2015

The second in our 'Blueprint' series celebrates a time before music became personal, 'Boomboxes' were all about sharing music (if you liked it or not!) and were as important as graffiti during the birth of Hip Hop in the late 70's and early 80's.

Certain models are very collectable like the JVC RC-M90 immortalised by LL Cool J's 1985 album 'Radio' and the Beastie Boys who were often photographed with it. The JVC RC-550 from the late 70's was nicknamed 'El Diablo' by the Latino community and was arguably the first 'monobox' aimed at people to use on the street with it's 10" woofer and carry strap. Another popular model was Radio Raheem's Promax - J1 Super Jumbo from the movie Do the Right Thing, but our favourite D-Cell hungry beast is the giant Sharp GF-777 from 1984 with it's giant 4 inch woofers.

New print launched today - 'Analog' April 21 2015

Our 'Analog' print celebrates technology and devices from a time before digital and we have chosen 12 items that we consider to be design classics that represent the term. Admittedly we are stretching the title with a couple of our choices, but we are using 'Analog' to illustrate technology that is obsolete and has been replaced with a modern digital equivalent.

More frequently people are looking back to older formats like 35mm, vinyl and analog recording because of their richer and more aesthetic qualities, this is something we wanted to champion here.

This is the first in a new 'Blueprints' series where we are representing some of our favourite genres in simple plan views and single colours.
